    摘要: A toroidal continuously variable transmission includes: an input disc; an output disc; a power roller; a trunnion; a support that supports the power roller such that the power roller is rotatable relative to the trunnion; a thrust bearing that receives a load of the rotating power roller in a direction along a rotation axis of the power roller; and an oil passage through which lubricating oil is supplied to the thrust bearing. An opposing surface of the power roller which surface is opposed to the support includes a first bearing groove. An opposing surface of the support which surface is opposed to the power roller includes a second bearing groove. A virtual axis of a discharge port of a nozzle included in the oil passage reaches a bearing groove that is one of the first bearing groove and the second bearing groove. When viewed from a direction perpendicular to the direction along the rotation axis, a portion of a retainer which portion is located at a radially inner side of a retaining hole of the retainer and a portion located at a radially inner side of the bearing groove are located at respective sides opposite to each other across the virtual axis and away from the virtual axis.

The toroidal continuously variable transmission includes: input and output discs opposed to each other; a power roller tiltably held between the input and output discs to transmit rotational drive power of the input disc to the output disc at a speed ratio determined by a tilt angle of the power roller; and a discharge structure including an outlet that discharges an oil. The discharge structure includes first and second oil passages connected with each other inside the discharge structure, and the first and second oil passages are arranged such that the oil flowing through the first oil passage and the oil flowing through the second oil passage collide with each other in the vicinity of the outlet and that a jet of oil discharged from the outlet forms a flattened shape extending along a rotational direction of the power roller.

A third lubricating oil passage through which the first lubricating oil passage communicates with the second lubricating oil passage is formed between the first piston and the second piston.
