摘要: In order to efficiently prevent the save-and-restore attack on usage rights associated with digital work, these usage rights are protected by a hidden channel. In order to make it a difficult or expensive to manipulate the hidden channel, a device is proposed comprising: writing means (34) for writing on a record carrier (20) said digital work (DW) and attached usage right information (22) defining one or more conditions to be satisfied in order for the usage right to be exercised, - fingerprint extraction means (23) for deriving fingerprint data (24) from physically uncontrollable, changeable non-uniformities on said record carrier (20) , and authentication means (25) for generating authentication data (26) from said fingerprint data (24) and said usage right information (22) , said authentication data being provided for authenticating said usage right information, said writing means (34) being adapted for writing said authentication data (25) on said record carrier (20) .

摘要: A method of signal processing for a receiver for OFDM encoded digital signals, for counteracting inter-carrier interference (ICI) caused by Doppler broadening. The OFDM encoded digital signals are transmitted as sub-carriers in several channels, which form OFDM blocks. The method comprises estimation of a channel transfer function (H1) by a channel estimation scheme in each sub-carrier and estimation of data (a1) by a data estimation scheme from said channel transfer function (H1) and a received signal (yo). Then, a derivative (Hj’) of said channel transfer function in each sub-carrier is estimated by a temporal filtering; and the inter-carrier interference (ICI) is removed from said received signal by using the estimated data (â1) and the estimated derivative (Hj’ ) of the channel transfer function in order to obtain a cleaned received signal (y1).

摘要: A method of signal processing and a signal processor for a receiver for OFDM encoded digital signals. The OFDM encoded digital signals are transmitted as data symbol sub-carriers in several frequency channels. A subset of said sub carriers is in the form of pilot sub-carriers having a value known to the receiver. A first estimation of channel coefficients (H0) at said pilot sub-carriers is performed followed by cleaning of the estimated channel coefficients (H0) at the pilot sub-carriers. Then, a second estimation of channels coefficients (H1) is performed at the data symbol sub-carriers. The first estimation is performed by dividing received symbols (yp) at said pilot sub-carriers by the known pilot symbols (ap). the channel frequency response is supposed to vary linearly within one OFDM symbol. Therefore for each symbol and sub-band, a channel frequency response and its derivate are calculated or interpolated.

摘要: A system (70) comprising a microprocessor (74), a data bus (75) for writing data into a Flash memory device (71) and a data bus (75) for reading data from the Flash memory device (71). The Flash memory device (71) comprises an error correction encoder (72), a Flash memory (71), an error correction decoder (73), and a Flash data bus (75) for interconnecting the error correction encoder (72), the Flash memory (71), and the error correction decoder (73). The data, when being processed by the error correction encoder (72) are converted into a word that comprises a status word (51), a data word (52), and a redundancy word (53). This approach enables error correction with single-bit alterability.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for generating a serial bitstream comprising information for synchronizing the serial bitstream internally and/or to another serial bitstream and/or for determining the position in the serial bitstream wherein a fixed code pattern is embedded in the serial bitstream. In order to retrieve a synchronization information or to determine the position in the serial bitstream very fast after the start of reading the serial bitstream and at any time during reading the serial bitstream it is provided according to the invention that the code pattern is periodically repeated in the serial bitstream and that any sequence of a fixed number of successive bits of the code pattern forms a unique code word allowing for synchronization and/or position determination, even under the occurrence of bit errors. The invention also refers to a corresponding device, to a binary signal comprising a serial bitstream, to a record carrier carrying such a binary signal and to a method and device for reading such a binary signal.
