    wherein, with respect to the slit, a distance between a top surface of the guide and the shutter on one side of the feeding position is smaller substantially by the thickness of the cover tape than a distance between that top surface and the shutter at a portion on the opposite side of the component feeding position.

Accordingly, this invention is quite advantageous in maintenance and control of precision and cost reduction.
