The television signal processing apparatus includes: a noise/ghost detection circuit for detecting the level of at least one of noise and ghost included in the video signal, and for producing at least one control signal (ki) based on the detected level; a first signal processing circuit for receiving the main signal and for producing a first reproduction signal by processing the main signal; a second signal processing circuit for receiving the main signal and the helper signal, and for producing a second reproduction signal by processing the main signal and the helper signal; a mixing circuit (113) for receiving the control signal and the first and second reproduction signals, and for adding the first and second reproduction signal with respective weights in accordance with the control signal; and a circuit for converting an output signal of the mixing circuit into the signal for display. If the video signal includes noise and/or ghost, the image quality is prevented from being degraded due to the addition of the helper signal.

Accordingly, at the reception side, in the scanning line in which an offset reference signal indicative of the offset value is transmitted, the offset reference value and a DC level reference value of the scanning line are detected, and these values are retained until a next offset reference signal is detected. By detecting a DC level of a scanning line containing the additional information signal, a difference from the DC level reference value previously detected and retained is obtained, and the offset reference value detected and retained previously is corrected by this difference. Thus obtained offset value is subtracted from the transmitted additional information signal.

    摘要: A quadrature detection circuit (31) quadrature detects an OFDM signal with a local carrier-wave signal to obtain a sampled OFDM signal for each sampling clock. A delay circuit (33) delays the sampled OFDM signal by the number of clocks corresponding to an effective symbol period in response to the sampling clock. Then, filter circuits (34 and 35) extract signal component from sampled OFDM signal delayed by delay circuit (33) in different frequency regions. Correlation circuits (36 and 37) obtain correlation vector between each of filter outputs and the sampled OFDM signal. A frequency control circuit (38) obtains frequency error of the local carrier-wave signal and that of the sampling clock in accordance with the sum and difference in the phase angle of each correlation vectors. In accordance with the error, the frequency of the local carrier-wave signal and that of the sampling clock are controlled. As a result, the frequencies of the local carrier-wave signal for quadrature detection and the sampling clock can be synchronized with the OFDM signal at high speed and without any influence of noise.

    摘要: A transmitter transmits a composite video signal and a multiplex signal on video carrier in a quadrature modulation method. A receiver synchronously detects an incoming signal with two orthogonal axes and separates the composite video signal from the multiplex signal to separately demodulate them. A waveform-equalized signal is obtained by adding a signal of only an inverse characteristic of crosstalk from the multiplex signal to the composite video signal with a decoded video signal. A non-linear extractor extracts non-linear crosstalk from the composite video signal, thereby obtaining a waveform-equalized multiplex signal by subtracting the non-linear crosstalk from the composite video signal to the multiplex signal from it.
