    摘要: A transmitter transmits a composite video signal and a multiplex signal on video carrier in a quadrature modulation method. A receiver synchronously detects an incoming signal with two orthogonal axes and separates the composite video signal from the multiplex signal to separately demodulate them. A crosstalk eliminator circuit to which the separately demodulated composite video signal and multiplex signal are supplied is connected in series with the ghost eliminator to eliminate ghost of the multiplex signal after eliminating crosstalk from the composite video signal to the multiplex signal. A waveform-equalized signal is obtained by adding a signal of only an inverse characteristic of crosstalk from the multiplex signal to the composite video signal with a decoded video signal. A non-linear extractor extracts non-linear crosstalk from the composite video signal, thereby obtaining a waveform-equalized multiplex signal by subtracting the non-linear crosstalk from the composite video signal to the multiplex signal from it.

    摘要: The television signal processing apparatus receives a video signal including a main signal (y,c) and a helper signal (VT,VH,AH), and produces a signal for display based on the main signal and the helper signal, the main signal being arranged in a predetermined portion of the screen having a first aspect ratio and representing a picture having a second aspect ratio, and the helper signal being used for improving the quality of picture of the main signal. The television signal processing apparatus includes: a noise/ghost detection circuit for detecting the level of at least one of noise and ghost included in the video signal, and for producing at least one control signal (ki) based on the detected level; a first signal processing circuit for receiving the main signal and for producing a first reproduction signal by processing the main signal; a second signal processing circuit for receiving the main signal and the helper signal, and for producing a second reproduction signal by processing the main signal and the helper signal; a mixing circuit (113) for receiving the control signal and the first and second reproduction signals, and for adding the first and second reproduction signal with respective weights in accordance with the control signal; and a circuit for converting an output signal of the mixing circuit into the signal for display. If the video signal includes noise and/or ghost, the image quality is prevented from being degraded due to the addition of the helper signal.

    摘要: In a diversity receiver comprising an AGC section for controlling the gain of a tuner, an equalizer equalizes an outputted signal from a fast Fourier transformer. A reliability calculator calculates the reliability value of each of carriers by an equalized pilot signal obtained from the equalizer. A reliability value corrector corrects the reliability value by outputted information from the AGC section. A carrier selecting/combining section performs one of selecting and weighting combining for the carrier in a branch in accordance with the corrected reliability value. When a Viterbi decoder is provided, the Viterbi decoder weights an output from the carrier selecting/combining section with a new reliability value to perform maximum likelihood decoding. It is possible to prevent a reliability value which does not reflect an actually received power from being calculated as a result of increasing a power by an AGC in spatial diversity for every OFDM or FDM demodulated carrier. Even in the case of mobile reception, data with high reliability can be decoded.

    摘要: At a first equalizer A, a scattered pilot signal is interpolated in time direction and frequency direction, thereby obtaining a channel characteristic H. By complex-dividing a received signal Y subjected to FFT by the channel characteristic, the respective signal is reconstituted. At a second equalizer B, a resultant signal is hard-decided, thereby obtaining a mapping vector X. Then, by dividing the received signal Y by X, a channel characteristic is calculated again.
