    摘要: A process is described for preparing a cinnamate ester by reacting the corresponding styrene with an alcohol, carbon monoxide and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst containing palladium metal or a palladium compound and a copper compound. A feed gas containing carbon monoxide and oxygen is blown into a reaction mixture containing the liquid reactants and an exhaust gas containing vapor formed by evaporation of liquid components of the reaction mixture is passed through a condenser. The condensate is recirculated to the reactor and the remaining gas is discharged. A gas selected from the discharged gas, inert gas and carbon dioxide is blown into the reaction mixture separately to the feed gas to increase the rate of evaporation of the liquid components of the reaction mixture and improve removal of heat evolved inside the reactor.

    摘要: A cinnamate ester is prepared by reacting carbon monoxide, oxygen, and its corresponding styrene compound and alcohol in the presence of a catalyst which contains, as essential components,
    (a) a platinum goup metal or a compound thereof; (b) a copper or iron compound; and (c) a compound of at least one metal selected from Groups 4A, 5A, 7A, εA(the iron group only), 1B(exclusive of copper) and 2B. E.g. a catalyst of palladium chloride, copper"chloride and basic zinc carbonate was used to produce methyl cinnamate in 75% yield. In the absence of the zinc carbonate the yield was 2%.     摘要: An indigo compound is prepared from a corresponding indole compound which is unsubstituted at the 2- and 3- positions. The indole compound and an organic hydroperoxide are reacted in the presence of a catalyst which is a metal selected from the group consisting of the metals of Groups 4, 5 and 6 of the periodic table or a compound of the metal. The reaction is conducted while taking out water from a reaction system, said water being that introduced in the reaction system or formed during the reaction, or while controlling the amount of water, which is introduced in the reaction system, at a level not greater than 1 mole per mole of the indole compound.
