The invention concerns a contact system having fixed and moving contact parts for an electromagnet switching device with a switching magnet, which is accommodated in a housing and has an armature, and with an instantaneous release device with striking pins. The movable contact parts are mounted on a contact bridge which is mounted in a contact carrier, connected to a push rod, so as to move against the pressure of a compression spring mounted in the contact carrier. The push rod with the contact carrier is coupled for movement with the armature of the switching device switching magnet. The striking pin of the instantaneous release device acts on the contact bridge in order to lift the movable contact parts off the fixed contact parts. In the release state of the instantaneous release device the striking pin thereof can be clamped to the push rod bearing the movable contacts and can be detached by the lifting movement of the push rod, whereby the contacts can be closed again.

The aim of the invention is to easily assemble the inventive device and to guarantee a stable bimetal position. To this end, the contact and connection components of the release unit are glued together in the housing (12) or in a part (13) of the housing and are fixed in the housing without an additional connection, whereby said components can be pre-assembled.
