摘要: A ceramic device (10) has an actuator element (14) which includes a shape-retaining layer (24), an upper electrode (26a) formed on an upper portion of the shape-retaining layer (24), and a lower electrode (26b) formed on a lower portion of the shape-retaining layer (24); a vibrating section (20) of ceramics which supports the actuator element (14); and a fixed section (22) of ceramics which vibratingly supports the vibrating section (20). An electrode material of the lower electrode (26b) contacting the vibrating section (20) contains an additive in an amount of 0.01 % by weight to 20 % by weight. The electrode material contains platinum as a major component, for example. The additive such as zirconium oxide, cerium oxide, or titanium oxide is preferably used.

摘要: A first charging circuit (3) and a third charging circuit (5) are provided as first-step charging circuits to first and second piezo-electric/electrostrictive elements (1,2), and a second charging circuit (4) and a fourth charging circuit (6) are provided as next-step charging circuits. Moreover, the first-step charging circuits of the piezo-electric/electrostrictive elements serve also as first-step discharging circuits, and a first discharging circuit and a second discharging circuit are provided as next-step discharging circuits. Resistances as well as coils intervene in the first charging circuit and the third charging circuit in a series with the piezo-electric/electrostrictive elements. Discharging electric charge on one side can be used directly as charging electric charge on the other side.

摘要: A sensor device adapted to detect at least one of a particle and a bubble in a fluid, includes a fluid nozzle defining a center (3) of fluid flow (F); and a plurality of sensor elements (20a,20b,20c,20d) for converting an impact of one of a particle and a bubble into an electrical signal, wherein a first sensor element (20a) is arranged closer to the center of fluid flow than a second sensor element (20b). The sensor device includes a number of diaphragm sensor elements each having a sufficiently small mass for responding to a collision with the particle, and an apparatus for converting a vibration of the diaphragm portion into an electrical signal so as to detect the vibration. The multiple elements are arranged in the fluid flow stream such that different size particles will preferentially strike different elements.
