The Zn-Mg alloy plated steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet and a Zn-Mg plating layer formed on the base steel sheet, wherein the content of Mg in the Zn-Mg plating layer is 8 weight% or less (provided that 0 weight% is excluded), and the Zn-Mg plating layer is a compound phase of Zn and Mg2Zn11. Provided is a heating apparatus for generating coating vapors for coating a base metal (steel sheet) which continuously moves in a vacuum. Also, provided is a coating device comprising said heating apparatus. According to the present invention, a coating material generated as the coating vapor is supplied in a solid (solid state) during an early stage and converted to a liquid (liquid state) afterwards and supplied to a heating unit, thus preventing the erosion of equipment and the like caused by the direct supply of a liquid coating material and preventing the temperature of the coating material from being lowered by the supply of a solid wire, thereby ultimately maximizing energy efficiency of the heating apparatus.
