摘要: The present disclosure relates to a naphtha reforming process for obtaining reformed naphtha comprising contacting naphtha with a catalyst, the catalyst comprising a chloride free zeolite coated alumina support impregnated with 0.01 wt % to 0.5 wt % active metal and 0.01 wt % to 0.5 wt % promoter metal, wherein the thickness of the zeolite coating on the alumina support ranges from 100 μm to 200 μm, which results in formation of reformed products of naphtha and ethylbenzene formed in-situ.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for the preparation of CPVC which includes reacting PVC with chlorine at a pre-determined temperature in the presence of at least one irradiation source having wavelength ranging from 254 and 530 nm while maintaining the radiant flux from 1.5 to 2 W/kg of PVC, irradiance at 0.13 W/cm2 and the number of photons emitted per second from 3×1018 to 5×1018, under agitation, for a time period ranging from 3 to 4 hours to obtain CPVC. The CPVC prepared from the afore-stated process has a whiteness index ranging from 89 to 96, a yellowness index ranging from 1.23 to 1.73 and stability ranging from 648 to 684 seconds. The rate of the chlorination reaction after employing the afore-stated process parameters ranges from 1.6 to 4.36 mole/hour/kg.

摘要: An apparatus for halogenation of a polymer is disclosed. The apparatus includes a reactor, at least one light source, a stirrer and a heater. The reactor contains a slurry of the polymer. The light source is disposed outside of the reactor at a distance ranging from 0.5 centimeter to 2 centimeters for facilitating irradiance of the slurry. The light source radiates a light of wavelength in the range of 250 nm to 355 nm. The stirrer is adapted to agitate the slurry. The heater is adapted to heat the slurry of the polymer. The blades on the stirrer and light source are arranged in such a way that slurry is maintained in uniform motion and reacted homogeneously to achieve desired conversion efficiently.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a reforming catalyst composition comprising a spherical gamma AI2O3 support; at least one Group VB metal oxide sheet coated on to the AI2O3 support; and at least one active metal and at least one promoter metal impregnated on the AI2O3 coated support. The reforming catalyst composition of the present disclosure has improved activity, better selectivity for total aromatics during naphtha reforming and results in less coke formation. The reforming catalyst composition has improved catalyst performance with simultaneous modification of acidic sites as well as metallic sites through metal support interaction. The acid site cracking activity of the catalyst is inhibited because of the use of chloride free alumina support modified with solid acid such as Group VB metal oxide and impregnated with active metals. The present disclosure provides a process for naphtha reforming in the presence of the reforming catalyst composition of the present disclosure to obtain reformates of naphtha.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a process for the chlorination of polyvinyl chloride. PVC obtained during the suspension polymerization reaction is directly used for chlorination without filtration, drying and re-slurrying. The present process is carried out in the absence of additional chemicals/reagents; also reheating during the chlorination reaction is not required. CPVC manufactured using the process of the present disclosure has whiteness index greater than 85, yellowness index lower than 4 and thermal stability in the range of 300 to 550 seconds at 210° C.
