The invention relates to a method for controlling the automated transmission of a power train in an automobile that comprises the following steps: a) measuring a plurality of variables, including the depression level of the brake pedal, the depression level of the accelerator pedal and an instant speed of the automobile, the instant speed being included within an interval ranging from the minimum speed to the maximum speed of the vehicle, the control setting is calculated following a ramp method when the instantaneous speed (V) is below a ramp threshold value (Vr) and the depression level of the accelerator pedal is zero. b) determining a steering set point of at least two of the driving wheels of the automobile based on the variables measured during step a). According to the invention, the determination in step b) is carried out so that the steering set point varies in a continuous manner over the entire speed variation interval, in particular when the instant speed of the vehicle is different from zero and lower than a creeping threshold value and when the depression level of the accelerator pedal change from a value equal to zero to a value different from zero.
