The invention concerns the preparation of a silica suspension in a silicon fluid, said suspension being used to produce silicon vulcanisable by polyaddition (RTV elastomers). The problem which the invention aims to solve is that of finding a technical compromise between the rheological and mechanical properties of the final RTV. The invention solves the problem by providing a method for preparing a silica suspension treated with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDZ) in a silicon fluid with siloxyl Si-Vinyl function, characterised in that it consists essentially in introducing HMDZ in the preparation medium, before and/or substantially while bringing at least part of the silicon fluid prepared with at least part of the particulate filler used, said introduction being carried out once or several times for a HMDZ fraction corresponding to a proportion not more than 8 % by dry weight with respect to the total silica charge and after bringing together the POS and the filler.

The invention relates to a porogenic additive for use in production of silicone elastomer foams, which forms a single phase and which comprises: (1) water, (2) a mineral charge, (3) a texturing agent which is a water-soluble thermoplastic polymer with a high molecular mass equal to or greater than 50,000 g/mol, particularly 100,000 g/mol and (4) preferably a liquid polymer which is water-soluble, having a viscosity less than or equal to 5000 mPa.s at 25 °C. The invention further relates to a silicone composition with peroxide or as a polyaddition cross-linker, generating an elastomeric foam and comprising a porogenic additive as above.

The invention concerns a silicone material crosslinkable into silicone elastomer by polyaddition reactions, useful in particular for impressions, for example dental. The invention aims at providing a material offering a compromise between the following characteristics: fluidity (in non crosslinked sate), hydrophily (in non crosslinked or crosslinked state) and high mechanical properties (in crosslinked state). The invention is characterised in that it consists in introducing into the crosslinkable silicone material: (i) a reinforcing siliceous filler in the form of a suspension obtained by subjecting the filler to a treatment in two stages by an agent providing compatibility (selected for example, concerning the first stage, among a silazane, a hydroxyl-containing siloxane, an amine, an organic acid; and concerning the second stage, among a silazane), by operating in the presence of a polyorganosiloxane with Si-alkenyl functions; and (2i) one or several non-ionic, ionic or amphoteric surfactants. Said silicone material is particularly useful for impressions, for example dental impressions and for making pads used in pad printing techniques.

The invention concerns a method for preparing a silica suspension in a silicone matrix, said suspension capable of being used for producing organopolysiloxanes crosslinkable by polycondensation. The invention aims at seeking a technical compromise between the rheology of said compositions and the mechanical properties of the resulting crosslinked elastomers. As a solution, the invention discloses a method for preparing a silica suspension treated with organosilazane in a silicone material comprising a linear reactive polyorganosiloxane bearing for example at each chain end a hydroxy group. The invention is characterised in that it consists essentially in introducing the organosilozane in the preparation medium: before and/or substantially simultaneously before bringing together at least part of the silicone material and the particulate filler used, said organosilozane introduction being carried out with a fraction of organosilazane corresponding to a proportion ranging between 8 % and 30 % by dry weight relatively to the silica filler, and after bringing together the filler and all or part of the silicone material.

The invention more particularly concerns self-adhesive silicone elastomeric compositions crosslinked by addition reaction, having modified rheological properties. Thus the invention concerns a crosslinkable adhesive silicone composition comprising a polyorganosiloxane (POS) with (α,φ-di-Vi polydimethylsiloxane) Si-Vi units; a crosslinking POS with SiH units; a platinum catalyst; a filler; and optionally an adherence promoter comprising vinyltrimethoxysilane, 3-glycidoxy-propyltrimehtoxysilane and butyl titanate and/or a cross-linkage inhibitor and/or a MMViDDViQ or MDViQ or MMViQ unsaturated POS. Said composition is characterized in that it further comprises a polyorganosiloxane having per mole at least a piperidinyl function. The invention aims at providing a crosslinkable elastomeric silicone composition having rheological properties fully adapted to enable successful use of the composition for bonding various substrates as well as for performing moulding operations requiring non-flowable materials.

The invention concerns the preparation of a precipitate silica suspension in a silicone oil, said suspension being used for producing crosslinkable products by polyaddition or by polycondensation (RTV elastomers). The problem the invention aims at solving is the search for a compromise between the cost and the rheology and mechanical properties of the final RTV products. The invention provides a solution by providing a method for preparing a precipitate silica suspension treated with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDZ) in a crosslinkable silicone oil. The introduction of HMDZ is carried out in at least two HMDZ fractions. The first fraction corresponds to a proportion not higher than 15 % by dry weight relative to the total HMDZ amount and is first contacted with the precipitate silica and water. The invention also concerns the method for obtaining a silicone elastomer composition from said suspension, and the resulting composition.

The invention concerns bonding of fibrous materials, in particular flexible supports such as woven supports or nonwoven supports comprising at least one silicone coating obtained by surface application or impregnation. The invention aims at providing an improved method for assembling fiber/silicone composites by means of a silicone elastomer, said method being economical and capable of being implemented at low cost. Therefor, the invention concerns a method for bonding fibrous supports, said method consisting in causing the supports to be bonded to overlap, an adhesive made of silicone capable of being heat-cured by free radical crosslinking with at least one peroxide being inserted between the supports, over at least part of the overlapping zone. The method is characterized in that it essentially consists in using at least one adhesive selected among pumpable elastomer silicone or liquid silicone rubbers, for instance MDDViM, filled with silica treated with MOHDMOH silicone, capable of being heat-cured by free radical crosslinking with at least one peroxide, liquid at room temperature and having a Brookfield viscosity η at 25°C ≥ 100 Pa's and an extrusion speed Ve in g.min-1 ≤ 50, in directly forming said adhesive and placing it on at least one of the supports to be bonded, in their overlapping zone; in maintaining in close contact the supports in their overlapping zone comprising at least one adhesive layer, so as to prevent air from being trapped at the interface; and in heating the supports thus maintained in close contact, so as to enable the supports to be bonded by crosslinkage of the adhesive.
