The invention relates to an electric drive, especially for motor vehicles, that comprises a commutator motor (14) which is arranged in a housing (10) and is provided with a rotor shaft (17) having a commutator (22) that is arranged thereon in such a way that aid commutator cannot be rotated. Said rotor shaft is also provided with a brush holder (30) that is stationary in relation to the housing. The inventive drive also comprises a bearing (25) which is arranged in the proximity of the commutator and is provided with a bearing bush (34) that encompasses the rotor shaft (17) involving a rotational play and a bearing seat (35) which receives the bearing bush (34). The aim of the invention is to simply construct the bearing (25). A clamping element (37) is configured as one piece on the brush holder (30). Said element clamps the bearing bush (34) in an axial non-positive fit in the bearing seat (35) which is configured in the housing (10).
