A link pin (42) projects from every wall face and the longitudinal axes of said link pins are in alignment with each other. A particularly simple design of the joint with integrated connecting device is obtained when an adapter (66 or 166) is mounted on the two link pins of the connecting element (26), said adapter being rotatable about the longitudinal axes of the link pins. According to the invention, in order to simplify assembly and to provide better protection for the printed circuit board, the electronic housing part is embodied as a separate housing having an inner space that can be closed with a lid. The printed circuit board is fully arranged inside the inner space of said housing and a second connector part is arranged in the electronic housing part, through which at least the contact sections of the current conductors coming out of the electronic housing part are guided.

The device has a first coupling half (32), which is fixed to the wiper arm, and a second coupling half (28), which is fixed to the wiper blade and which is arranged on the upper strip surface (26) of a strip-like longitudinally extended, elastic supporting element (16), said strip surface facing away from the window (24). A wiper strip (20), which can be placed against the window, is located on the other, lower strip surface (18) of the supporting element, this strip surface, however, facing the window, and the wiper blade is provided with two interspaced supporting walls (42), which belong to the second coupling halve (40, 52), are parallel to one another, and which are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade. Each end of a pivot pin (48) for a connecting element (52), which is mounted on the pivot pin in a manner that permits it to swing between the supporting walls and which is provided for connecting the wiper arm (12), is held on said supporting walls.
