    Abstract: A coordinator for use in a system for monitoring a vehicle-borne probe includes a first communication interface (48) configured to exchange data with at least one edge device (18) of a plurality of edge devices, a second communication interface (48) configured to exchanged data with a cloud infrastructure (26) and at least one vehicle system, and a processing unit (40). The processing unit (40) is configured to analyze synthesized data comprising first data outputs from at least one edge device (18) of the plurality of edge devices, second data outputs from at least one edge device (18) of the plurality of edge devices, and data from the at least one vehicle system. The processing unit (40) is further configured to implement a data processing application to analyze the synthesized data to generate a third data output, and incorporate the synthesized data and the third data output into a data package.

    Abstract: A method of inspecting an air data (10) probe for damage or misalignment on a mounting surface includes retrieving reference data for the air data probe from a database, capturing images of the air data probe via a camera (30) and generating dimensions from the captured images of the air data probe via a feature extractor (50). An alignment calculator (52) analyzes the generated dimensions from the captured images of the air data probe and the reference data for the air data probe from the database to identify misalignment of the air data probe, and analyzes the generated dimensions from the captured images of the air data probe and the reference data for the air data probe from the database to identify damage of the air data probe. A maintenance recommendation for the air data probe is generated and outputted, based on the identified misalignment or damage of the air data probe.
