    摘要： A flow generator (4) for generating a flow of pressurized breathable gas includes a cylindrical housing (24,34) and a motor (44) supported in the housing (24,34). The motor (44) has a shaft (45) having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The shaft (45) is generally coincident with an axis of the motor (44). A first impeller (36) is attached to the first end of the shaft (45) and a second impeller (42) is attached to the second end of the shaft (45). A stator (38) directs an air flow (F) from the first impeller (36) back towards the motor axis. The housing (24,34) includes an inlet (26) adjacent the first end of the shaft (45) having an inlet axis generally coincident with the motor axis and at least one outlet (28,30) between the first and second impellers (36,42). The at least one outlet (28,30) has an outlet axis generally tangential to the motor axis.

The patience interface (16) includes a frame (17), a cushion (19) attached to the frame (17), a stabilizer (10) supported by the frame (17) for movement with respect to the frame (17), a biasing mechanism (42) that biases the stabilizer (10) with respect to the frame (17), and a lock mechanism that locks the stabilizer (10) at a position relative to the frame (17) against the bias of the biasing mechanism (42). The method includes placing the cushion against the patient's face to establish a substantially airtight seal at a first comfortable position; unlocking the lock mechanism to permit the biasing mechanism to bias the stabilizer against the patient's face when the cushion is in the first comfortable position; and locking the lock mechanism to lock the stabilizer and stabilize the cushion at the first comfortable position.

    摘要： A patient interface system for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface structure configured to sealingly engage the patient's nares; a pair of strips configured to be connected to opposite sides of the patient interface structure; and adhesive configured to secure the patient interface structure in sealing engagement with the patient's nares. The adhesive may be provided on the strips, and the strips are configured to be adhered to sides of the patient's nose by the adhesive. Another patient interface system includes a first component including adhesive on a first side and hook or loop fastener material on a second side, wherein the adhesive is configured to adhere the component to the face of the patient; and a patient interface structure configured to sealingly engage the patient's airways. The patient interface structure includes a second component including a corresponding loop or hook fastener material configured to engage the corresponding hook or loop fastener material of the first strip to secure the patient interface structure in sealing engagement with the patient's face. A patient interface system for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface structure including a pair of nasal prongs or pillows configured to sealingly engage the patient's nares: and at least one spring configured to bias the nasal prongs or pillows outwards into engagement with the nares of the patient.
