The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the glucose concentration in tissue liquid (40). Said method and device are used for detecting (sensor 12) measured values for glucose and an endogenous reference substance in a sample liquid (42) obtained by means of microdialysis, microperfusion, or ultrafiltration (probe 10) and correcting the glucose value in accordance with the measured value for the reference substance. The invention is characterized in that the glucose recovery rate is determined from a non-linear correlation with the recovery rate for the ionic reference substance while the measured value for glucose is corrected therewith. Furthermore, the lactate concentration and/or pyruvate concentration is/are used as (an) additional reference substance(s) in the sample liquid to make further corrections.
