    摘要： A method for improving the reproducibility of color on a print printed by a printing press, in which a lookup table containing conversion values of image data over the whole color space for a proof press is created and corrected according to the color of the printing paper of a printing press and to the paper exposed area factor in the proof-printing, and a proof print is made by the use of the lookup table corrected. Proof printing image data over the subtractive mixture color space is collected by color matching between the proof print printed by the proof print and a print printed by a printing press. Out of the proof printing image data, data for expressing on a proof print the steps of gradation of black monochrome on a print is so corrected that the part of a print where the area factor of black ink is 100% is expressed only in black ink even on a proof print and in contrast the other part is expressed by under color removal on a proof print. Thus, the expression feature by black ink on a print is reproduced on a proof print.
