    摘要： An apparatus and method for persistent allocation in a wireless communication system are provided. An operation method of a Base Station (BS) includes determining if decoding information for one or more persistent allocations assigned to one or more corresponding Mobile Stations (MSs) is updated, if the decoding information is updated, generating a signaling message to signal the update of the decoding information, and transmitting the signaling message through a DL MAP. The signaling message includes an R_CID and ACID associated with at least one persistent allocation to which the updated decoding information is to be applied.

    摘要： A method for controlling a sleep mode operation by a Mobile Station (MS) in a communication system. The MS includes transitioning to an awake state in a listening interval of the sleep mode; performing any one of a first operation, a second operation and a third operation in the awake state; and after any one operation is performed, transitioning to a sleep state upon detecting that there is no data to transmit to the BS and there is no data to be received from the BS. The first operation is a process of receiving data from the BS, the second operation is a process of transmitting data to the BS, and the third operation is a process of receiving data from the BS and receiving data from the BS.

Upon detecting a need for its handover, a mobile station (MS) transmits a handover request message to a first base station (BS) in communication with the MS. Upon receiving the handover request message, the first BS transmits at least one CID for connection setup to a second BS to which the MS will perform handover, to the MS along with a handover response message in response to the handover request message. The MS receives the CID through the handover response message.
