A mold-releasing and lubricating silicone oil has the following general formula: R¹ a R² b SiO (4-a-b)/2 wherein R¹ represents X-R³-; R³ is C₁₋₈ and X is NH₂ or NHR⁴NH₂,R⁴ being C₁₋₈ alkylene; R² is a monovalent C₁₋₆ hydrocarbon group; and "a" and "b" satisfy the relations 0.001 ≦ a ≦ 0.01 and 1.95 ≦ a + b ≦ 2.20. The oil has a viscosity of 10 to 100,000 cs at 25°C, an amine equivalent of 10,000 to 100,000, excellent thermal resistance, and high affinity for the surfaces of metal or metal oxide molds.

The present film-former composition comprises (a) an organosilazane copolymer having a perfluoroalkyl group-containing structural unit and a methacryloyloxy group-containing structural unit, (b) a photosensitizer soluble in an organic solvent, and (c) an organic solvent. The composition is cured by irradiation with ultraviolet light for a short period of time to form a film excellent in water repellency, oil repellency, and hardness.

In this composition, there is far less sedimentation of dispersoid in comparison to conventional electroviscous fluid compositions.

A process for preparing a silicone composition is provided, which comprises distilling away an organic solvent from a mixture of (1) a low viscosity silicone oil represented by the general formula, R a SiO (4-a)/Z wherein R's may be the same or different, each being an unsubstituted or substituted, monovalent hydrocarbon residue containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and "a" ranges from 1. 8 to 2. 3 and having a viscosity of 100 centistokes or less at 25°C, with (2) an organosilica sol containing, as a dispersoid, spherical porous trimethylsilylated silica particles having an average particle size of 10 to 100 millimicrons, a specific surface area of 300 m²/g or above, a trimethylsilyl group density of 0. 5 to 10 micromol/m², an alkoxy group density of 0. 5 to 10 micromol/m², and a silanol group density of 0. 5 to 5 micromol/m², and homogeneously kneading the resulting mixture under shearing stress. The thus prepared silicone composition has low toxicity, low stimulability and excellent homogeneity, smoothness and extensibility, so it is well suited to be used as base ingredient of cosmetic, medical or lustering materials.
