Proposed is a method for the finishing treatment of various kinds of fabric materials with an aminoalkyl-modified dimethylpolysiloxane to impart the fabric material with excellent softness and smoothness with less disadvantages of yellowing of the treated fabric material than in the prior art using similar aminoalkyl-modified dimethylpolysiloxanes. In the inventive method, the aminoalkyl-modified dimethylpolysiloxane is represented by the general formulaA-SiR 2 -O-(-SiR 2 -O-) p -(-SiRQ-O-) q -SiR 2 -A, in which R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, Q is an aminoalkyl group expressed by the general formula-R 1 -(-NH-CH 2 -CH 2 -) n -NH 2 , R 1 being a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and the subscript n being 2 or 3, A is a hydroxyl group, R, OR or Q, the subscript p is an average number in the range from 5 to 2000 and the subscript q is 0 or an average number not exceeding 100 with the proviso that q is not 0 when the groups denoted by A in a molecule are each a hydroxyl group, R or OR, and having an amine equivalent in the range from 5000 to 100,000 g/mole.

A mold-releasing and lubricating silicone oil has the following general formula: R¹ a R² b SiO (4-a-b)/2 wherein R¹ represents X-R³-; R³ is C₁₋₈ and X is NH₂ or NHR⁴NH₂,R⁴ being C₁₋₈ alkylene; R² is a monovalent C₁₋₆ hydrocarbon group; and "a" and "b" satisfy the relations 0.001 ≦ a ≦ 0.01 and 1.95 ≦ a + b ≦ 2.20. The oil has a viscosity of 10 to 100,000 cs at 25°C, an amine equivalent of 10,000 to 100,000, excellent thermal resistance, and high affinity for the surfaces of metal or metal oxide molds.

A silicone fluid composition comprises a functional group-containing organopolysiloxane (I) having a viscosity of from 10 to 100,000 cSt blended with 0.01 to 500 wt% of an aromatic amino group-containing organopolysiloxane (II) to impart excellent thermal resistance in addition to a high affinity for surfaces of metal and/or metal oxide moldings.

Disclosed is a hair-care treatment toiletry composition, such as hair shampoo and hair rinse compositions, capable of imparting excellent smoothness and pliability as well as an adequate moisturized touch feeling to the hair treated therewith. The hair-care treatment toiletry composition contains, as the characteristic ingredient in addition to the usual ingredients acceptable as constituents of a hair-care treatment toiletry composition, a specified amount of a specific morpholino-modified diorganopolysiloxane, e.g., a dimethylpolysiloxane substituted by 3-morpholinopropyl groups for a part of the methyl groups as bonded to the silicon atoms in the organopolysiloxane molecules.

Silicone fluid-based electric insulating oils can be imparted with greatly enhanced flame retardancy when the base organopolysiloxane contains 0.1 to 30% by moles of vinyl groups relative to the monovalent hydrocarbon groups bonded to the silicon atoms and is admixed with a platinum compound soluble therein, such as chloroplatinic acid, dissolved therein in a specified amount. The flame retardancy of the organopolysiloxane/platinum compound composition can be further improved by the addition of a low-viscosity fluorinated hydrocarbon oil such as an oligomeric polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene.

A silicone microemulsion composition obtained by microemulsifying a carboxy-modified organopolysiloxane, and having a lower surface tension than conventional microemulsions. The composition includes 100 parts by mass of a specific carboxy-modified organopolysiloxane (A), 25 to 75 parts by mass of a specific polyether-modified organopolysiloxane (B), 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of an anionic surfactant, and 20 to 6,000 parts by mass of water, wherein the average particle size of the emulsion particles is not more than 100 nm.
