The invention is characterized in that a common channel is provided which is allocated to a plurality of subscribers at the same time for data transmission between a base station (NodeB) and a subscriber station (UE1, UE2). Measurements regarding the transmission quality are carried out on the common channel and their results are available in the base station (NodeB). If the transmission quality does not meet a defined criterion, the base station (NodeB) transmits a first message to a controlling radio network controller (CRNC) associated therewith, the first message containing information about the transmission quality and about subscriber stations (UE1, UE2) for which a bad transmission quality was measured. In a radiocommunication system, data transmission via a radio interface involves at least transmission of an individual fine-structure subscriber signal, which contains, in addition to the symbols in the data elements, a mid-amble with known symbols, whereby it is possible to distinguish both the fine structures of the data elements and the mid-amble. On the transmitter side a sum signal is sent which contains signals with various fine structures. The sum signal is filtered by at least one transmission filter and sent by a carrier channel to a receiving radio station. The summation control device enables, due to such filtering, balanced signal losses between signal elements. The inventive method is particularly suited to mobile stations with a simple or varying data rate and to base stations which have been integrated into mobile DT/CDMA radiocommunication networks of the third generation.
