The invention relates to a method for assembling elements of a structure comprising an alveolated honeycomb core by welding with the aid of electromagnetic radiation. According to the inventive method, the structure is based on a plastic material which is transparent with regard to electromagnetic radiation and at least one of the elements to be assembled comprises a layer which absorbs at least partially said electromagnetic radiation in the vicinity of at least one part of the surface thereof and welding occurs by melting said layer using electromagnetic radiation in the welding areas.
