The application obtains a time offset corresponding to a time difference between an application time axis and a broadcast time axis on the basis of an API application process to execute a high-accuracy and low-delay data synthesis process.

摘要： There are provided an apparatus and method that generate a MAC list that serves as an access control list efficiently without burdening a user. A MAC list registration processing request packet is automatically transmitted by using as a trigger either a power-on process of the power source of a client apparatus connected to a network or an activation process of a specific application, e.g., an execution application for services using a home network. A server performs a registration process by acquiring information such as a MAC address from the received packet in accordance with a state of empty slots in the MAC list. According to this configuration, it is possible to easily and correctly generate the MAC list, which serves as the access control list, without burdening a user.

摘要： A communication device and method for automatically setting wireless connection without any need for special settings. A personal computer 1 connects itself to an access point device 3 by means of a wireless communication section and communicates data with a server not shown connected to a network 4 through the access point device 3. However, it is necessary to set the SSID and the WEP KEY prescribed by IEEE802.11b in the personal computer 1 before the wireless connection to the access point device 3. According to the invention, the setting is carried out only by bringing an IC card 2 to a predetermined distance close to an IC card contactless communication section 19 constituting the personal computer 1. The invention can be applied to a system constituting a wireless LAN composed of a personal computer, a PDA, and an access point.
