Embodiments of the invention provide a system, method and devices. A communication network may comprise several network elements and may be adapted to route a connection via a first network element such as a radio network controller and one or more of alternatively selectable second network elements such as serving nodes. A network element may store a list of selectable second network elements. The list may be accessed using an identifier identifying a routing or location area or a desired second network element. The list can be stored in a domain name system, DNS, server which may return to an inquiring network element such as a radio network controller e.g. internet protocol, IP, addresses of serving nodes capable of serving a routing or location area of a connection originating or terminating network element.
Abstract:
The present solution involves forming an ad hoc subgroup to address a group of requesting user terminals (UE2) interested in a certain service or content. The present solution enables establishing a temporary multicast subgroup based on similar content requests (2-3). In the present solution, a service provider, such as a mobile radio station, gathers content requests transmitted by user terminals (UE2), compares them (2-7), and if enough similarities exist between them, and if their timing is appropriate, an ad hoc multicast subgroup is formed, and the requested content is multicast (2-10) to the members (UE2) of the ad hoc multicast subgroup. After that, the ad hoc multicast subgroup is deleted.
Abstract:
Remote configuration and utilization of an emulated device controller via communication of encrypted data external to the controller. In a preferred embodiment, first and second software means executing within a server central processing unit facilitates secured and verified access to emulated input/output devices on behalf of a user community. The emulated input/output devices are further associated with session oriented application programs executed on one or more host central processing units. A user requests utilization of one or more emulated input/output device types whereupon the security software validates the user's request. If authorized, a hardware adaptor card is initialized with an input/output device configuration reflecting the user's request and control is passed to session oriented programs whereupon the user input/output requests are facilitated via an emulated device as opposed to physical devices associated with the host processors.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method, a system and a device for implementing interconnection between IP domains. The method mainly includes: first, the Media Gateway Controller (MGC) sends the IP domain information of the IP domain to which the media stream to be created pertains to the Media Gateway (MG) between IP domains; when the MG receives the IP domain information for creating the media stream from the MGC, the MG creates the corresponding media stream between the IP domains according to the IP domain information, thus implementing the interconnection between the IP domains. Therefore, the implementation of the present invention enables the MG between the IP domains in NGN, between which interconnecting is needed, to obtain the IP domain information of the IP domain to which the media stream to be created by the MG pertains, thus ensuring the interconnection between the IP domains which need to interconnect with each other, and providing great convenience for network operation.
