In order to enable an improved connection of the wheel hub to the rotating joint and better adjust a prestress of the roller bearing, it is provided that a face of the axle stub (18) of the wheel hub (2) comprises a spur gearing element (3) which can be non-rotatably connected to a corresponding spur gearing element (4) of the joint body (7) of the rotating joint (5), wherein the spur gearing elements (3, 4) are disposed at least partially radially and axially beneath the roller bearing (11), and that the inner bearing ring (17) is connected to a means (27) for the axial tolerance compensation between the inner bearing ring (17) and the counter-surface (25) of the joint body (7).

The method keeps material stresses low and accurately adjusts the preload of the bearing. For this purpose, first rotating rolling elements of at least one first row of rolling elements of the tool form the rivet flange. Axes of rotation of the first rolling elements form a first angle with the axis of rotation of the rolling bearing during the riveting operation, ensuring uniformity on the entire circumference of the cylindrical part of the wheel hub using a smaller deformation force while allowing the rolling bearing to be temporarily preloaded by a holding element even before the cold forming process.
