The present invention can provide a composition for an antistatic release agent containing a release component, which can be sufficiently cured, and having superior antistatic properties and release properties.

The present invention is an antifoaming agent including: (A) an organopolysiloxane having a hydrolysable group shown by the formula (1) on at least one silicon atom of an organopolysiloxane segment constituting a main chain and containing siloxy units shown by the formula (2) at an amount of at least 10 mol% of the total, (B) a non-linear organosilicon resin other than the organopolysiloxane of component (A); and (C) a hydrophobic filler. This provides an antifoaming agent which has excellent foam control properties in washing (i.e., from washing to rinsing), is safe and inert to components in a detergent composition, and is more stable in various detergents; and a method for manufacturing thereof.

In one embodiment, the present invention relates to silicone-fixed fibers including fibers and silicone fixed to the fibers. The silicone includes an acrylic-modified organopolysiloxane (A) having two or more acrylic groups per molecule. A rate of decrease in the amount of Si after the silicone-fixed fibers are washed 10 times is less than 50%. The present invention relates to a method for producing silicone-fixed fibers. The method includes coating or impregnating the fibers with a fiber treatment agent containing silicone, and irradiating the fibers coated or impregnated with the fiber treatment agent with an electron beam so that the silicone is fixed to the fibers. The silicone includes an acrylic-modified organopolysiloxane (A) having two or more acrylic groups per molecule. Thus, the present invention provides silicone-fixed fibers that include fibers to which silicone is fixed by electron beam irradiation and have a good texture even after washing, and a method for producing the silicone-fixed fibers.

The present invention relates to a heavy release additive for a release sheet, which comprises a condensation reaction product produced by the dehydrative condensation reaction between (A) a polydiorganosiloxane that has an average polymerization degree of 500 to 10,000 and has at least one hydroxy or hydrolysable group per molecule and (B) a polyorganosiloxane resin that is mainly composed of a (SiO 4/2 ) unit and a (R 3 SiO 1/2 ) unit (wherein R's independently represent a C 1-12 monovalent hydrocarbon group or a C 2-6 alkenyl group each having no aliphatic unsaturated bond), has a ratio of the content of the (R 3 SiO 1/2 ) unit to the content of the (SiO 4/2 ) unit of 0.6 to 1.2 by mole, and contains the hydroxy group and the hydrolysable group in the total content of 2.1 mass% or more and less than 10.0 mass%. When the heavy release additive for a release sheet according to the present invention is added to a polyorganosiloxane composition for a release sheet, the heavy release additive can have the effect of achieving an extremely great peel force compared with cases in which no additive is added.

The present invention relates to a powder antifoaming agent which contains: (A) a hydrophobic organopolysiloxane that has a viscosity at 25°C of 10-100,000 mm 2 /s; (B) a fine silica powder; (C) a surfactant; and (D) a water-soluble encapsulating agent that is in a solid state at 25°C. This powder antifoaming agent is characterized by being obtained by spray drying a dispersion liquid that is obtained by dispersing a silicone oil compound, which is obtained by mixing the component (A) and the component (B), and the component (D) in water in the presence of the component (C), and is also characterized in that the silicone oil compound is encapsulated by the component (D) that serves as an outer shell. Since the powder antifoaming agent of the present invention does not contain water by being produced by a spray drying method, the powder antifoaming agent is free from problems of emulsion antifoaming agents such as separation and putrefaction, thereby exhibiting extremely excellent storage stability.
