Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Fixieren und Abdichten eines Behälters mit einer offenen Stirnseite gegen einen Deckel bzw. Lösen des Behälters von dem Deckel, insbesondere einen Absorberbehälter für Kohlendioxyd bei einem Beatmungsgerät. Um eine Vorrichtung dieser Art zu erhalten, die einen Absorberbehälter schnell lösen kann, so daß er rasch entleert bzw. gefüllt werden kann, und die den Absorberbehälter extrem schnell fixieren und gegen Gas abdichten kann, wird erfindungsgemäss vorgeschlagen, das Mittel (5) entlang der Längsseite des Behälters (1) gegenüber dessen offener Stirnseite (2) in zwei Endlagen verschiebbar angeordnet sind, wobei die Mittel (5) in der ersten Endlage einen kürzeren Abstand zu der offenen Stirnseite (2) des Behälters (1) als in der zweiten Endlage haben, und ein am Deckel (15) angeordnetes Element (19), das eine nutenförmige Öffnung (20) bildet, die derart bemessen ist, daß, wenn die Mittel (5) in eine erste Endlage gebracht sind, ist bzw. sind der Behälter (1) und/oder die Mittel (5) in die nutenförmige Öffnung (20) einführbar und wenn die Mittel (5) in die zweite Endlage gebracht sind, wird die offene Stirnseite (2) des Behälters (1) gegen den Deckel (15) gedrückt.

A portable anaesthetic machine (2) is described. Dispensing a liquid anaesthetic to a patient is sometimes desirable and may be hard to achieve, especially with portable equipment. This problem is resolved with the present invention in that the portable anaesthetic machine (2) comprises a gas flow generator (4) for generating a flow of gas at an adjustable pressure and/or flow rate, an inspiratory line (6) and an expiratory line (8). The gas flow generator (4), inspiratory line (6) and expiratory line (8) constitute the gas flow pathways for the respirator (2). Finally, a membrane (10) is arranged in the gas flow pathways and made of a self-sealing material, whereby the membrane (10) can be punctured by a syringe needle (12A) for dispensing the liquid anaesthetic into the gas flow pathways an optional number of times.

A gas mixture containing endogenous NO is present in the upper respiratory tract (14). The tracheal tube (2) comprises a co-carrier device (16) which forms a connection between the interior of the tracheal tube (2) and the upper respiratory tract (14). The co-carrier device (16) is devised so an amount of gas containing endogenous NO is drawn/forced into the tracheal tube (2) and accompanies respiratory gas into the lungs during inspiration.

An apparatus (4) for the administration of a respiratory gas and at least one anaesthetic to a living being. The anaesthetic is vaporized in a vaporizing unit (34) by a respiratory gas and a safer and more accurate control of the anaesthetic concentration level is acquired in that an anaesthetic sensor (39) measures the concentration of the anaesthetic, a regulating valve controls the flow of respiratory gas through the vaporizing unit (34) and a regulating device (36) controls the regulating valve depending on a preselected concentration of vaporized anaesthetic in the respiratory gas and the measured concentration of anaesthetic in the respiratory gas. To further increase the control of the apparatus it may also be provided with a feedback system for both the temperature level in the vaporizing unit (34) and the total flow.
