    摘要: A vehicle headlight (1) mounted on a vehicle body which can lean to one side at the time of turning around, i.e., going around a curve, moving circularly, or the like. The headlight includes a first ellipse group reflecting surface (4, 7) having a movable part (7a) and an opening part (7c), and a second ellipse group reflecting surface (6) corresponding to an area covering a moving range of the opening part. The movable part of the first ellipse group reflecting surface can be moved by a drive unit (8) to form a main light distribution kept always in a horizontal position. Light rays passing through the opening part (7c) reach the second ellipse group reflecting surface (6) to be reflected and to illuminate an area ahead of the vehicle body when it leans to one side.

The movable shutter (4) has a shutter part (4a) and a shade part (4b). When the shutter part (4a) is placed in the light flux of the first ellipse group reflecting surface (3), the shade part (4b) shades the light flux reaching from the light source (2) to the second parabolic group reflecting surface (8). On the other hand, when the shutter part (4a) is withdrawn from the light flux, the second parabolic group reflecting surface (8) is allowed to receive light. Thus, the low-beam distribution and the high-beam distribution can be improved in illumination.
