There are provided an apparatus and a method for simulatively measuring an environment in a microspace between a human skin and a wound dressing. The simulative environment-measuring apparatus comprises a constant temperature-and-humidity chamber 14 for controlling an external environment; a heat exchanger 12 disposed in the chamber 14; a constant temperature water bath 10 and a pump 11 for supplying warm water to the heat exchanger; and a container 1 which is set on the heat exchanger 12 and is easily detachable therefrom. The container 1 holds a water retentive member 2 therein, and is covered at its upper opening with a water vapor diffusion-controlling member 4. A microspace 6 formed between the water vapor diffusion-controlling member 4 and a wound dressing 5 placed on the member 4 is a simulatively reproduced space between a human skin and the wound dressing 5. A thin temperature-and-humidity sensor 7 is set in this microspace 6 to measure temperature and humidity with time. When plural containers 1 are used, environments of plural wound dressings 5 can be measured at once.

An external patch containing diclofenac hydroxyethylpyrrolidine prepared by laminating an adhesive layer on a backing, wherein said adhesive layer is characterized by comprising 5-50% by weight of styrene·isoprene·styrene block copolymer, 20-50% by weight of a tackifier resin, 5-70% by weight of a softening agent, and 0.5-20% by weight of one or more solubilizers selected from N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, propylene glycol and dimethyl sulfoxide as essential ingredients, and 0.5-20% by weight of diclofenac hydroxyethylpyrrolidine as an active ingredient. The patch has excellent transdermal absorption, less skin-irritation and excellent stability of the drug.

An aqueous patch is provided which has excellent storage stability and provides excellent retention of butenafine hydrochloride blended therein onto the application sites such as skin and nails and is highly therapeutic. The butenafine hydrochloride-containing aqueous patch includes butenafine hydrochloride, glycol salicylate, and propylene glycol in a hydrogel paste. Specifically, the butenafine hydrochloride-containing aqueous patch is produced by dissolving butenafine hydrochloride in a mixed solution of glycol salicylate and propylene glycol and dispersing the resulting solution in a hydrogel is provided. In particular, in the butenafine hydrochloride-containing aqueous patch, glycol salicylate and propylene glycol are mixed in a ratio of 1:2 to 1:30.

A wound-covering hydrogel material which has excellent strechability and absorbs exudates from wounds. It can maintain over long a wet environment which is suitable for accelerating the healing of wounds. There is no fear of causing pain or damaging the regenerated skin when the wound-covering hydrogel material is replaced with a fresh one. The wound-covering hydrogel material prepared by spreading a hydrogel comprising a water-soluble semi-synthetic polymer, glycerol and water, on a laminated two-layer film composed of a polyurethane film and hydrophobic fibers. The covering material has a moisture permeability as measured by the cup method in accordance with JIS Z0208 of 500-2,000(g/m 2 /24h).
