Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Implantats (1), insbesondere einer intraluminalen Endoprothese, mit einem Körper enthaltend metallisches Material, vorzugsweise Eisen. Zur Begünstigung der antiinflammatorischen Wirkung des Implantats wird für das Implantat folgendes Herstellungsverfahren vorgeschlagen: a) Bereitstellen des Körpers des Implantats, b) Herstellung einer zumindest teilweise geschlossenen Porenstruktur in einem Teil des oberflächennahen Gefüges des Implantatkörpers, c) Einlagerung von NO x in die Hohlräume der Porenstruktur. Agents, methods, and devices for affecting nerve function are described. One embodiment of an agent includes a cardiac glycoside, an ACE inhibitor, and an NSAID. The agent may be delivered locally in a site-specific manner to a targeted nerve or portion of a nerve. For example, the agent may be delivered locally to the renal nerves to impair their function and treat hypertension. One embodiment of a delivery device includes one or more needle housings supported by a balloon. A delivery needle is slidably disposed within a needle lumen of each needle housing.
