摘要: A pneumatic tire is provided which enables durability thereof to be improved by preventing oxidation degradation of belt layers. In the pneumatic tire, a carcass layer (4) is laid between a pair of bead portions (3) so that the carcass layer (4) links the bead portions (3), an air penetration preventing layer (6) is disposed on the inner surface of the tire along the carcass layer (4), and belt layers (7) are buried in a tread portion at the side of the outer periphery of the carcass layer. In the pneumatic tire, a cord layer (8), which is formed by repeatedly winding a cord in the tire circumferential direction, is disposed between the carcass layer (4) and the belt layers (7), and at least one portion of the cord layer (8) is made close to the outer surface of the tire so that a distance between the cord (8) and the outer surface of the tire is not longer than 2 mm.

摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire, which is capable of reducing tire failure without leading to reduction in productivity, the method including: folding a cylindrical film made of thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elastomer composition into a sheet shape; stacking rubber layers on both surfaces of the folded film in a manner that the rubber layers protrude from both edge portions of the film; forming a laminate by cutting protruding parts of the rubber layers into rubber protruding portions each having an amount of protrusion (h) in a range from 3 mm to 20 mm; expanding the laminate into a cylindrical shape and fitting the laminate onto a tire making drum; pressing down each rubber protruding portion toward the surface of the drum by use of a pressure roller; pasting other components of a tire onto the laminate to form an uncured tire; and curing the uncured tire.

摘要: A brake control device (12,14,16) is provided to a wheel (22) equipped with a tire (20), which has a function of applying a brake force to the wheel to put a brake thereon while adjusting the brake force. In the device, an acceleration sensor (24) outputs acceleration data in a radial direction of the rotating tire, a predetermined detection range is set with respect to the acceleration data, a threshold value is set with respect to a corresponding part of the acceleration data falling within the detection range, the corresponding part of the acceleration data falling within the detection range is specified. Values of the specified acceleration data are compared with the threshold value, and a control signal for causing a braking device (14) to adjust the brake force thereof is output in a case where some values of the acceleration data are larger than the threshold value.
