Abstract: A device for detecting the amount of pedal operation, in which a brake pedal (11) and a crevice (16) fixed to an end of an operation rod (15) are rotatably connected together by a connection shaft (18), a bush (22) is placed between the brake pedal (11) and the connection shaft (18), detectors (24a, 24b, 25a, 25b) are installed on the outer peripheral surface of an elastically deformable bush body (22a) of the bush (22), and an ECU (26) calculates pedal depression force based on a load detected by each detector (24a, 24b, 25a, 25b). The device has a simplified structure to improve easiness of mounting and to enable highly accurate detectionof the amount of pedal operation.

Abstract: In a vehicle braking apparatus, a pressure control valve (50) is controlled according to a brake operation amount of a brake pedal (15) to thereby regulate hydraulic pressure and supply it to wheel cylinders (25FR, 25FL, 25RR, and 25RL).
