摘要:
A technique for operating an RNC of a communication network during a soft handover process of a mobile terminal between a first BS and at least one second BS that are connected to the RNC is provided. A method implementation of the technique comprises receiving, at a MAC protocol layer of the RNC, a first data frame stream from the first BS via a first data path and a second data frame stream from the second BS via a second data path. A relative delay between the data frames of the first and the second data frame stream regarding their arrival at the RNC is determined. The relative delay takes into account different systematic propagation durations from the first BS and the second BS to the RNC. At then the MAC protocol layer, data frames of the first and the second data frame stream are then merged into a third data frame stream which is transmitted to a protocol layer above the MAC protocol layer. The merging of the data frames is carried out in dependence on the relative delay.

Embodiments herein relate to a method in a radio network node (500,12,13,13) for informing a network control node (700,14) about a state of a connection between the radio network node (500,12,13,13) and a user equipment (10) served by the radio network node (500,12,13,13). The radio network node transmits to the network control node (700,14), an indication indicating a congestion or not a congestion of MAC-hs or MAC-ehs packets towards the user equipment (10).
摘要:
Method and apparatus for enabling optimisation of the utilisation of the throughput capacity of a first and a second interface of an eNB, where the first and the second interface alternate in having the lowest throughput capacity, and thereby take turns in limiting the combined data throughput over the two interfaces. In the method, data is received over the first interface and then cached in one of the higher layers of the Internet Protocol stack. The output from the cache of data to be sent over the second interface is controlled, based on the available throughput capacity of the second interface. Thereby, the alternating limiting effect of the interfaces is levelled out.

The disclosure relates to a method for handling congestion performed in a source node of a communication network. The communication network provides a communication path for traffic streams between the source node and a destination node, wherein the source node multiplexes two or more different types of traffic streams onto a single connection. The method comprises detecting congestion in the communication network along the communication path, determining whether there is a traffic differentiation in a network node along the communication path, and applying a connection-level congestion control for the case of determining that there is no network node performing traffic differentiation. The disclosure also relates to a source node, computer program and computer program product.

A node (120) receives data packets. For each of the received data packets, the node (120) extracts a first value from the data packet. The first value indicates a delay requirement of the data packet. For each of the received data packets, the node (120) also extracts a second value from the data packet. The second value indicates a level of importance assigned to the data packet. Depending on the first values and the second values, the node (120) controls forwarding of the received data packets.

A method and apparatus for packet scheduling over a communication link in a communication network. A data packet scheduler accords scheduling weights to at least two sets of data packets to be transmitted, and the sending of the sets of data packets is scheduled in accordance with the scheduling weights. When it is determined that a change in available bandwidth over the communication link has occurred, the scheduler dynamically adjusts the scheduling weight for each set of data packets on the basis of the available bandwidth. This ensures more efficient resource sharing control and resource guarantees when the available bandwidth changes.
