    摘要： A sulfur-vulcanizable rubber composition is disclosed comprising at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler comprising silica, and a silane coupling agent. The diene elastomer is a silane functionalized elastomer. The silane coupling agent excludes an active sulfur moiety. Also, an article of manufacture comprising said rubber composition is disclosed. Further, a non-active silica-containing rubber composition for incorporation in a tire is disclosed. The rubber composition comprises a polymer being a reaction product of a siloxyl condensation reaction between a silane functionalized diene elastomer and a non-sulfur containing silane coupling agent. Finally, a non-sulfur containing bifunctional silane coupling agent comprising at least one first end terminating group reactive with a hydroxyl group contained on silica or precipitated silica and a silane moiety contained on a diene-based elastomer is disclosed.

    摘要： A tire (1) is disclosed comprising multiple tire components including: (A) a tread (10) comprising a tread rubber composition comprising: from 10 phr to 100 phr, alternatively 10 phr to 90 phr, of styrene butadiene rubber comprising monomers selected from one or more of recycled and bio-based monomers; from 0 phr to 90 phr, alternatively 10 phr to 90 phr, of elastomers selected from one or more of natural rubber, polybutadiene rubber comprising monomers selected from one or more of recycled and bio-based monomers, and polyisoprene comprising monomers selected from one or more of recycled and bio-based monomers; from 40 phr to 250 phr of a filler comprising one or more of recycled or bio-based silica and recycled or bio-based carbon black; from 1 phr to 90 phr of hydrocarbon resin which is one or more of i) based on recycled monomers, bio-based monomers or a combination thereof, and ii) a plant resin; and (B) reinforced rubber plies (9, 11, 12) comprising cords coated with a rubber coating composition comprising from 80 phr to 100 phr of elastomers selected from one or more of natural rubber and polyisoprene comprising monomers selected from one or more of recycled and bio-based monomers; and from 30 phr to 90 phr of a filler comprising one or more of recycled or bio-based silica and recycled or bio-based carbon black.

    摘要： A coupling system for use in a vulcanizable silica-filled rubber composition is disclosed. The coupling system comprises a non-active sulfur containing silane coupling agent for reacting with an associated silica or precipitated silica to produce a hydrophobic silica and a crosslinking reagent for reacting with the non-active sulfur containing silane coupling agent and an associated polymer. Furthermore, a rubber composition is disclosed comprising or produced by using the said coupling system. Finally, a vulcanizable silica-filled rubber compound for use in a tire, a tire component, a belt, a pipe, a hose, a fitting or footwear is disclosed, the compound comprising a diene-based polymer, a filler comprising at least silica or precipitated silica, a non-active sulfur containing silane coupling agent comprising at least one end terminating group reactive with a hydroxyl group contained on the silica, and a crosslinking reagent comprising at least one end terminating group reactive with a functional moiety contained on the non-active sulfur containing silane coupling agent and at least a second end terminating group reactive with the diene-based polymer.
