The disclosure relates to a masterbatch for use in a process for preparing a composite material, the masterbatch comprising a blend of from 71.0 to 95.0 wt.% of a first polyethylene resin based on the total weight of said masterbatch, wherein the first polyethylene resin has a melt flow index MI2 ranging from 1 to 500 g/10 min according to ISO 1133 (190 °C; 2.16 kg); and at least 5.0 wt.% of carbon particles selected from nanographene, carbon nanotubes or any combination thereof; wherein the masterbatch further comprises from 0.1 to 4.5 wt.% of an additive composition, and wherein comprises at least 80 wt.% of one or more metallic stearates based on the total weight of the additive composition. The present invention relates to a masterbatch to for use in a process of preparing a composite material, the masterbatch comprising a blend of a first amorphous polymer with carbon nanotubes, and at least 5 % by weight of carbon nanotubes based on the total weight of the masterbatch, preferably from 5 % to 15 %, wherein the masterbatch exhibit a high load melt flow index HLMI1 of less than 40 g/10min determined at 200°C under a load of 21.6 kg according to ISO1133 and the first amorphous polymer has a melt flow index MFI1 of at least 10 g/10 min determined at 200°C under a load of 5 kg according to ISO1 133H. The invention also relates to the process for preparing such masterbatch and to process of preparing a composite material using said masterbatch.

The present invention relates to a masterbatch for use in a process of preparing a composite material comprising a blend of a first semi-crystalline polymer with at least 5 wt % carbon nanotubes. Good dispersion of the carbon nanotube is obtained within the masterbatch and evidenced by the blending of the masterbatch with a second semi-crystalline polymer miscible with the first one in respective proportions to obtain a composite material containing about 1 wt % of carbon nanotubes wherein said composite material yields an agglomerate area fraction U % lower than 2 and a surface resistivity lower than 105 ohm/sq.
