摘要： Claims relate to an organ care system for maintaining an ex vivo lung in a near physiologic functioning condition comprising:
a perfusion circuit for flowing fluid into and out of the ex vivo lung; a composition for use in the perfusion circuit to maintain the ex vivo lung in the near physiologic functioning condition, the composition comprising one or more carbohydrates that include dextran, and a plurality of amino acids that do not include asparagine, glutamine, or cysteine; and
a nutritional subsystem comprising an infusion pump.

摘要： The invention provides a system (1000) for perfusing a lung ex vivo. The system allows for connecting the lung within a fluid perfusion circuit, flowing a perfusion fluid into the lung through a pulmonary artery interface (1022) and away from the lung through a pulmonary vein interface (1026), providing a respiratory gas to the lung for use in metabolism by the lung, the respiratory gas having a pre-determined composition of oxygen, and ventilating the lung through a tracheal interface (1024).
