摘要: An optical test fibre is bent restorably and the bend illuminated to couple an optical signal into the test fibre. The optical signal coupled into the fibre by this method propagates through the optical fibre in both directions. If the bending point which is simultaneously the point of coupling is provided near a first end of the optical fibre, as the power of the optical signal leaving the first end is substantially one half of the power of the optical signal coupled into the fibre at the bend, the transmission loss of the optical fiber may be measured by comparing the optical powers at the respective ends of the fibre.

摘要: In a composite concentration system of the type utilizing a time division system in which voice signals are digitallized and than concentrated in a traffic, there are provided a first subscriber line interface circuit means (21A) of a first type which connects subscriber's lines (11 1...m, 12 1...m , 14 1...m ) directly to subscriber line interface circuits (23 1...m ), a second subscriber line interface circuit means (21B) of a second type which connects subscriber lines (13 1...m, 15 1...m ) to subscriber line interface circuits (33 1...n ) via a space division concentration switch (32) and a time division concentration switch (54) connected to the first and second subscriber line interface circuit means (21A, 21B) via switching interfaces (23, 52). The number of output terminals of the first subscriber line interface circuit means (21A) is equal to that of the output terminals of the second subscriber line interface circuit means (21B) when a concentration ratio of the space division concentration switch (32) of the second subscriber line interface circuit means (21B) is 1:1 and corresponding output terminals are connected such that the same channel is assigned to the time division concentration switch (54). The composite concentration system of this invention is not expensive and can readily expand a telephone system according to a variation in percentage of calls or change in a service performance.

摘要: An interference wave detection circuit includes an amplifier (1) for amplifying a received carrier wave in response to a control signal; an amplitude detector (2) for amplitude-detecting the output of the amplifier; the output of said amplitude detector (2) being connected to the amplifier (1) as the control signal so as to make the output level of the amplifier (1) substantially constant; level measuring means (3) for measuring the level of the output fluctuation of the amplitude detector (2); a comparator (4) for comparing the output level of the level measuring means (3) with a predetermined level (Vc) to provide a compared output as an interference wave detection signal to the output of the interference wave detection circuit; discriminating means (6) connected to the output of the amplifier (1) for judging whether the received carrier wave is modulated or not; and gate means (7)(8) responsive to the output of the discriminating means (6) for preventing the compared output from reaching the output of the interference wave detection circuit when the discriminating means (6) judges that the received carrier wave is modulated.

摘要: The phase-locked loop circuit provides a phase comparator which receives input signals through a first input terminal, a loop filter which receives a first output and a second output of the phase comparator, and a voltage-controlled oscillator which produces output signals of an oscillation frequency proportional to the first output and the second output of the loop filter, the signals corresponding to output signals produced by the voltage-controlled oscillator being supplied to a second input terminal of the phase comparator so that the phase of the signals supplied to the first input terminal of the phase comparator is compared with the phase of the signals supplied to the second input terminal. In the present invention, the loop filter comprise a first capacitor connected to the output terminal of the loop filter, a second capacitor and a third capacitor each having a terminal connected to the output terminal of the loop filter, a charging circuit for electrically charging the first, second, and third capacitors, the charging circuit being connected in parallel with the second capacitor, and a discharging circuit for discharging the first, second, and third capacitors, the discharging circuit being connected in parallel with the third capacitor.
