The invention relates to a thermoplastic composition, comprising a polyamide and/or polyester matrix and differing additives. Said composition has a high fluidity thus making suitable the use of different techniques for forming in the molten state, such as moulding, injection moulding, extrusion and drawing. Said composition particularly permits the production of moulded plastic articles with good mechanical properties and an improved surface appearance.

The invention concerns a multilayer structure based on polyamides, particularly suitable for making tubes or conduits for transporting liquid fluids such as alcohol's, liquid fuels, fuel containing oxygen-containing compounds such as, for example alcohol's or refrigerating fluids. The multilayer structure comprises two superposed layers: at least one internal layer and at least one external layer. The invention is characterised in that at least the internal layer is based a composition comprising at least one thermoplastic polyamide and at least one agent modifying resistance to shocks in a weight proportion between 10 and 50 % of said composition, and at least the external layer is based on a composition containing as polymeric matrix a polyamide composition selected among the group comprising: (i) a thermoplastic copolymer obtained by copolymerisation of epsilon -caprolactam with at least one of the monomers selected among the group comprising: an aminoacid containing at least 9 carbon atoms, or the corresponding lactam, a mixture of hexamethylenediamine with a diacid comprising at least 9 carbon atoms, the weight ratio between the epsilon -caprolactam and the total hexamethylenediamine and diacid and/or aminoacid ranging between 4 and 9, or (ii) a mixture of at least said thermoplastic copolymer and at least a second thermoplastic polyamide or copolyamide obtained by polymerisation of monomers containing less than 9 carbon atoms. The weight content of the second polymer or copolymer in the polymeric matrix is between 0 and 80 wt. %, preferably between 0 and 40 wt. %. The multilayer structure has high barrier properties against fuel vapour and good mechanical properties such as good resistance to cracking.

The inventive composition can be used to produce elements having a low flame-spread rating upon combustion as well as satisfactory mechanical properties. Said composition is particularly suitable for producing moulded elements that are used in the field of electrical and electronic connector technology.

The adherence between these two layers is obtained either by adding a polyacrylate compound commercialised under the registered trade mark RESEDA in the polymer forming the layer (B) or by forming an intermediate layer between the adjacent layers (A) and (B) from a composition containing said RESEDA compound.

The invention concerns a polyamide composition with rheological properties in molten state compatible with a method for shaping by extrusion blow-moulding and improved flexibility for instance, at low temperature. The composition comprises a polyamide thermoplastic polymer based matrix and at least an agent modifying impact strength present at a ponderal concentration between 10 and 50 % of the composition, said composition modulus being less than 1500 MPa's. The invention also concerns an article in the form of a tube comprising a first part (1) obtained by extrusion blow-moulding of a rigid polyamide, a second part (2) likewise obtained by extrusion blow-moulding of a rigid polyamide composition, and an intermediate third part (3) in the form of bellows produced by extrusion blow-moulding of a polyamide composition corresponding to example 1. The extrusion of each part is carried out successively.
