A barb-like projection (18) extends from one side wall (15) of the slot (17) towards the opposed side wall (16), generally centrally of the slot, and a pair of ribs (21) are formed on the opposed side wall (16), to project towards the one side wall (15), with one rib (21) on each side of the projection (18), respectively. The leg (24) of the label is provided with an aperture (27) through which the barb-like projection (18) may extend, when the leg is pushed sufficiently far into the slot (17).
