摘要: A joining arrangement between a main tube (3) and a side arm (5) in a side arm stent graft (1). The side arm (5) is stitched into an aperture (11) in the main tube and is in fluid communication with it. The aperture is triangular, elliptical or rectangular and the side arm is cut off at an angle to leave an end portion having a circumferential length equal to the circumference of the aperture. The side arm can also include a connection socket (76) comprising a first resilient ring (79) around the arm at its end, a second resilient ring (80) spaced apart along the arm from the first ring and a zig zag resilient stent (82) between the first and second rings. The zig-zag resilient stent can be a compression stent. Both the main tube and the side arm are formed from seamless tubular biocompatible graft material.

The flexible bone composite i ncludes at least one polymeric layer and at least one calcium-containing layer. The polymeric layer can be a polymeric layer including a synthetic polymer. The calcium-containing layer can include a calcium compound such as ²-Ca3(PO 4 )?. The flexible bone composites of the invention are useful as bone void fillers and have improved handling characteristics.

The stent assembly includes a stent post frame, a stent post frame covering, and a base frame. The stent post frame includes a continuous rail forming a closed-curved shape defining a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of circumferentially-spaced posts projecting from cusp segments in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The cloth covering encompasses the rail. The base frame supports the cusp segments. The valve leaflet assembly is attached to the stent assembly, and includes a leaflet clamped between one of the cusp segments and the base frame. The mounting members each directly pass through the stent post frame cloth covering, the first leaflet and the base frame. The rail can have a constant cross-sectional shape with a major axis dimension that is greater than a minor axis dimension.

摘要: The invention relates to a stainless steel device for permanent insertion into the sclerocorneal limbus, with different drainage and anchorage systems, enabling the aqueous humour to discharge through one or more virtual spaces from the anterior chamber to an intrascleral space in cases of simple glaucoma or to the equatorial episclera in cases of complex glaucoma, such as neovascular glaucoma. The space is virtual, not real, as in the case of the tubular device. It enables the aqueous humour to discharge slowly and continuously, minimizing the possibility of the chamber being flat or of germs penetrating through the device. Furthermore, the anchorage system is less aggressive, thus reducing the possibility of bleeding.

摘要: The present invention provides a stent that can obtain sufficient strength while an inner side of the stent is easily endothelialized and moreover, can prevent occlusion of a branch blood vessel. Specifically, a stent body capable of diameter expansion is provided. A tubular film 3 is held by the stent body. In the tubular film 3, a plurality of communication holes 4 communicating between an inside and an outside are formed. Band-shaped portions 7 and 8 are formed between the communication holes 4 adjacent to each other. A wide-width portion and a narrow portion are not generated in the band-shaped portions 7 and 8. Strength of a part of the band-shaped portions 7 and 8 is not lowered. Generation of the wide-width portion in the band-shaped portions 7 and 8 is prevented.

摘要: An augmented glenoid component for securing to a glenoid surface of a scapula has a body which includes a backing member providing a first surface configured to contact the glenoid surface of the scapula and an opposite second surface, with a buttress formed in the first surface. A bearing insert member can be secured to the second surface of the backing member and provides a bearing surface for articulation with the head of a humerus. The backing member includes a plurality of holes which extend outwardly from the buttress member, each of which is configured to allow passage of a securing member for securing the backing member to the glenoid surface of the scapula.
