Abstract:
A wearable article (20) comprising a main body (38) and a ring-like elastic belt (40) comprising a front belt (84) and a back belt (86), at least some of the elastic bodies (96) arranged in an array, the array defined as meeting a), b), and c) as follows: a) one array is formed by 2-10 elastic bodies; b) each elastic body within one array is disposed in an inner-interval (132) between each elastic body of 2-4 mm; c) one specific array disposed in an extra-interval (134) between at least one neighboring elastic bodies outside the specific array of greater than the inner-interval (132); wherein the back belt (86) comprises at least 5 arrays.
Abstract:
Apparatus for treating at least one web passing through the apparatus includes a first roller and a second roller positioned adjacent the first roller to define a nip for receiving the at least one web. The first roller has a pair of spaced apart ends, a length extending between the ends, a circumference, and at least one bearer ring extending around the circumference of the first roller generally at a center of the first roller.
Abstract:
A disposable absorbent article comprises a first crotch elastic member adjacent a first crotch edge and a second crotch elastic member adjacent a second crotch edge, each crotch elastic member extending generally in a longitudinal direction, each crotch elastic member having a front terminal point and a rear terminal point. In one embodiment, at least one of the terminal points of the first crotch elastic member is positioned transversely inward from a remaining portion of the first crotch elastic member, and at least one of the terminal points of the second crotch elastic member is positioned transversely inward from a remaining portion of the second crotch elastic member. In another embodiment, front end portions of the first and second crotch elastic members or rear end portions of the first and second crotch elastic members converge transversely inward toward each other.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a wearing article improved so that front and rear waist belts is formed with non-contractile region but elastic members would not stick out and the wearer' skin would not be caught by this non-contractile region as the prior art has been the case. Front and rear waist belt members 5, 6 have waist elastic members 18 attached thereto and spaced one from another in a longitudinal direction Y. On non-contractile regions 35, these elastic members 18 do neither overlap graphics on respective heat-sealable sheets 16, 17 and nor exert contractile force thereon. The non-contractile regions 35 are formed by leaving between inner and outer sheets 12, 13 as well as between inner and outer sheets 14, 15 not coated with adhesive in respective middles of the front and rear waist belt members 5, 6 as viewed in a transverse direction X and cutting the waist elastic members 18 attached under tension in the respective middles of the waist belt members 5, 6. Along the ends 21, 22 of the non-contractile regions 35 on the side of the crotch member 7, the inner and outer sheets 12, 13 as well as the inner and outer sheets 14, 15 are respectively joined to each other by means of heat sealing technique so as to form the joint zones 36.
Abstract:
A disposable diaper in which a waist opening portion and right-and-left leg opening portions are formed in a use state having: an elastic portion where a plurality of elastic members is provided along a width direction with an interval of not more than 7.0 mm in a longitudinal direction, and a non-elastic portion where no elastic member is provided, at least at an under waist portion of a body peripheral region of a length range from a waist opening edge to a leg opening start end, wherein the non-elastic portion is in a center of at least one of a front side and a back side and the elastic portion is provided in a region including right-and-left side portions except the non-elastic portion, and a difference between a maximum product width obtained when the body peripheral region is extended to a limit of extension in a product width direction and a contracted product width obtained when the body peripheral region is in a non-extended contraction state is from 100 to 250 mm in a state where the front side and the back side are overlapped.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products, comprising the steps of : - forming a first and a second continuous elastic band (12, 14), which are movable parallel to each other in a machine direction (MD), - fixing a plurality of absorbent panels (18) between said first and second continuous elastic bands (12, 14), arranged in a direction transverse to the machine direction (MD), and spaced apart in said machine direction (MD), wherein each of said elastic bands (12, 14) is formed by means of a method comprising the steps of: - continuously feeding a plurality of tensioned elastic threads (30) in said machine direction (MD), - continuously feeding a pair of non-elastic webs (32, 34) arranged on opposite sides of said plurality of elastic threads (30), - welding said pair of non-elastic webs (32, 34) to each other by means of a welding pattern comprising anchoring welds (36) and/or containing and guiding welds (38), wherein the anchoring welds (36) comprise pairs of welds (36) arranged on opposite sides of a respective elastic thread (30) having proximal surfaces facing the elastic thread (30), spaced apart by a distance less than the diameter of the non-tensioned elastic thread, and wherein the containing and guiding welds (38) comprise pairs of welds (38) arranged on opposite sides of a respective elastic thread (30) having respective proximal surfaces facing the respective elastic thread (30), spaced apart by a distance equal to or greater than the diameter of the non-tensioned elastic thread.
