    摘要: A method of dispensing adhesive onto a stretched elastic strand (28) includes applying a first volume of adhesive (30a) onto a first portion (L1) of the elastic strand, applying a second volume of adhesive (30b) onto a second portion (L2) of the elastic strand, and applying a third volume of adhesive (30c) onto a third portion (L3) of the elastic strand. The second volume is less than the first and third volumes. When the elastic strand (28) is adhered to a substrate (18, 26) to form a personal disposable hygiene product, the first and third portions (L1, L3) of the elastic strand (28) define opposing ends of the elastic strand, which are adhered with a larger amount of adhesive to resist creep at the opposing ends. The reduction of adhesive in the second or central portion (L2) between the opposing ends significantly reduces the adhesive add on in the personal disposable hygiene product.

    摘要: A method of producing a stretch laminate exhibiting reduced defects from a mechanical activation process can include providing a nipping member. The nipping member can have a first nip region and a non-nip region adjacent to the first nip region. A first substrate and an elastic element are provided to the nipping member. The first substrate and the elastic element arc joined in a face to face relationship with adhesive therebetween, thereby creating an intermediate laminate. The intermediate laminate has a first tack down region and an activation region adjacent the first tack down region. A portion of the first tack down region passes through the first nip region, and a portion of the activation region passes through the non-nip region of the nipping member. The activation region of the intermediate laminate is mechanically activated, thereby creating the stretch laminate.

    摘要: An optical mount and mounting system including an optical device, a housing, and a plurality of optical mounts that couple the optical device to the optical housing. Each mount includes a sleeve attached to the optical device and each sleeve includes a bore. Studs are attached to the optical housing and each stud includes an outer bonding surface extending through the bore of each sleeve. Once the optical device is aligned, a curable material is deposited into the sleeve and cured between the sleeve and the stud, such that the curable material couples the sleeve and the stud to each other to provide a robust structural joint that minimizes self-induced stresses into the optic. A series of annular conical portions and corresponding surfaces are provided to retain registration of the optical device against dynamic shearing and bending forces. A method of aligning and mounting an optical device is provided.
