Abstract:
An absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core between the topsheet and backsheet. The topsheet has a central region, a first end intermediate region, a first end region, a second end intermediate region, a second end region, an edge region, and an intermediate edge region. The central region, first end intermediate region, first end region, second end intermediate region, and second end region are disposed on a line generally parallel to the longitudinal centerline. The central region, intermediate edge region, and edge region are disposed on a line generally parallel to the transverse centerline. The central region texture, first end intermediate region texture, first end region texture, second end intermediate region texture, and second end region texture differ from one another. The central region texture, intermediate edge region texture, and edge region texture differ from one another.
Abstract:
A laminate web comprising a first and second precursor webs, at least the first precursor web being a nonwoven web, the laminate web having a first side, the first side comprising the second precursor web and at least one discrete tuft, each of the discrete tufts having a linear orientation defining a longitudinal axis and comprising a plurality of tufted fibers being integral extensions of the first precursor web and extending through the second precursor web; and a second side, the second side comprising the first precursor web.
Abstract:
A method for the production of a weblike material including a flocked substrate (F) is described, in which: on at least a first side of the substrate (F) is applied an adhesive (R); on said first face are distributed flock fibers (13); the fibers are anchored to the substrate by way of the adhesive. The quantity in weight of the fibers anchored to the substrate is between 0 and 30 gr/m2; the adhesive is distributed in a non-continuous way on said first side of the substrate, to create zones with flock fibers and zones free of flock fibers;
Abstract:
An absorbent article comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet is disclosed. The topsheet is a nonwoven web having tufts.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for fabricating absorbent article having multiple layers, and deformed zones of targeted performance, and colored regions, the method comprising the steps of forming discrete features on at least one layer, printing colored regions on at least one layer, integrating multiple layers to form an absorbent assembly, and cutting the absorbent assembly into individual absorbent articles, wherein the steps are carried out continuously.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing a printed and textured web substrate is disclosed. The apparatus has a printing apparatus and an apparatus for imparting elastic-like behavior. The printing apparatus has at least one rotatable ink roller for transferring an ink to the web substrate. The apparatus for imparting elastic-like behavior has a pair of intermeshing rollers capable of providing at least a portion of the web substrate with an elastic-like behavior.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fibrous web comprising a first region and at least one discrete integral second region, the second region having at least one portion being a discontinuity exhibiting a linear orientation and defining a longitudinal axis, and at least another portion being a deformation comprising a plurality of tufted fibers integral with but extending from the first region.

Abstract:
A formed web comprising discrete three-dimensional elements formed therein, wherein at least some of the discrete three-dimensional elements comprise chads with corresponding apertures, wherein the aperture has a perimeter, wherein the chad has a length, wherein the chads are attached along a portion of the aperture perimeter which forms a connection segment, wherein the connection segment is less than about 50% of the entire aperture perimeter, and wherein the web comprises a film.
