摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide swallowable devices, preparations and methods for delivering drugs and other therapeutic agents within the GI tract. Some embodiments provide a swallowable device such as a capsule for delivering drugs into the intestinal wall or other GI lumen. The device comprises a capsule sized to be swallowed and pass through the intestinal tract. The capsule can include at least one guide tube, one or more tissue penetrating members positioned in the guide tube, a delivery member, an actuating mechanism and a release element. The release element degrades upon exposure to various conditions in the intestine so as to release and actuate the actuating mechanism. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for the delivery of drugs which are poorly absorbed, tolerated and/or degraded within the GI tract.

摘要: Provided is a method of producing a transdermal absorption sheet using an electroforming mold. A method of manufacturing an electroforming mold includes preparing a mold which is a matrix having a recessed pattern, immersing the mold in a degassed pretreatment liquid stored in a pretreatment liquid tank, then applying ultrasound waves generated from an ultrasound oscillator to the recessed pattern of the mold, and filling recessed portions constituting the recessed pattern with the pretreatment liquid. By immersing the mold in an electroforming tank and performing an electroforming treatment, an electroforming mold is manufactured. A mold having a recessed pattern is manufactured from the electroforming mold and a transdermal absorption sheet is produced using the mold.

摘要: A wound therapy device and method includes a skin contacting element, a reactor, and a reactor housing element. The skin contacting element is configured for covering an associated tissue site, the reactor for creating a pressure condition at the associated tissue site upon actuation thereof, and the reactor housing element for accommodating the reactor. The skin contacting element has a skin contacting side and an interface side, which is opposite the skin contacting side. The reactor housing element has a lower affixing side and an upper side, which is opposite the lower affixing side.

摘要: An embodiment of the present invention includes: a pump part that delivers and administers a drug solution held in a reservoir to a live body; a flow rate sensing part that senses the flow rate of the solution delivered by the pump part; and a drive unit that controls the drive state of the pump part based on the sensed flow rate. The flow rate sensing part includes: a heat-generating element disposed in a conduit line in which the drug solution is delivered; a first temperature sensing element disposed in the conduit line upstream of the heat-generating element; a second temperature sensing element disposed in the conduit line downstream of the heat-generating element; and an arithmetic processing unit that calculates the flow rate within the conduit line based on the difference between the temperatures sensed by the first and second temperature sensing elements.
