    摘要: A fuel filter assembly (10) includes a housing (12) with an internal chamber (14) and inlet and outlet (18, 22). The chamber is bounded by an annular wall (16) and has an opening (30) at an upper end thereof. An element (26) is accepted in the chamber. The element includes a manually engagable cap portion (28) for closing the opening, and a disk shaped member (46). The disk shaped member has a deformable lip portion (50) for engaging the annular wall, and for fluidly separating an aperture (24) in connection with the outlet fitting, from an aperture (20) in fluid communication with the inlet fitting. A media body (54) of filter media (56) removes impurities from liquid flowing therethrough. Fuel flows from the inlet to the chamber and then through the media. From an interior area (60) of the media body, the fuel passes through a passage (62) into an intermediate area (52) and out the outlet. An element change may be accomplished without spilling or contacting the fuel, and without contaminants in the chamber reaching the aperture in fluid communication with outlet.

The column includes an annular wall defining a bore which, in use, contains the purifying component. The column further includes an inlet port to the bore comprising a first aperture through the annular wall, the inlet port being adjacent one end of the column. The column further includes an outlet port from the bore comprising a second aperture through the annular wall, the outlet port being adjacent the same end of the column as the inlet port. The column further includes a flow guidance device within the bore and removably connected to the inlet and outlet ports for guiding the fluid to the purifying component from the inlet port and for guiding the fluid from the purifying component to the outlet port. The flow guidance device maintains separation of the fluid flows to and from the purifying component.

    摘要: Die Erfindung betrifft eine Filtereinrichtung (1), insbesondere zur Flüssigkeitsfilterung in Brennkraftmaschinen. Die Filtereinrichtung (1) verfügt über ein Filtergehäuse (2,3) und ein Filterelement (4). Das Filtergehäuse besteht aus Kunststoff und verfügt über einen Gehäusetopf (2) und einen Gehäusedeckel (3). Der Gehäusetopf (2) ist mit dem Gehäusedeckel (3) unlösbar verbunden, wobei diese Verbindung flüssigkeitsdicht ist. Das Filterelement (4) ist an seinen Stirnseiten einerseits mit einer Abschlussscheibe (5) und andererseits mit dem Gehäusedeckel (3) verschlossen. Somit trennt das Filterelement (4) in eingebautem Zustand einen Rohraum von einem Reinraum. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung des Flüssigkeitsfilters können Dichtungselemente zwischen dem Gehäusedeckel (3) und dem Filterelement (4) eingespart werden, und weiterhin wird der Austausch des Filterelementes (4) erleichtert.
