Abstract:
Provided is a stationary phase for supercritical fluid chromatography that includes a carrier on which is supported a polymer that includes a pyrrolidone backbone in the repeating units of the main chain.
Abstract:
A coating of a random copolymer of acrylamide and a second monomer, e.g. glycidoxylmethacrylate, for a silica surface is described. The coating is applied to chromatographic support structures having silica based surfaces. The coating is functionalized to produce protein chromatography matrices that are particularly useful for extracting trace amounts of biomarker molecules from biological samples.
Abstract:
An assembly of a cartridge (11) and a cartridge clamp (3) is disclosed. Said cartridge (11) has a cartridge body bounding a passage (13) extending from a first end face to a second end face of the cartridge body. The cartridge clamp has a first and second clamping jaw (4,5) comprising a first and second clamping face, respectively. A first and a second conduit (9,10) are connected to the first and second clamping jaw (4,5), respectively. Said cartridge clamp (3) is adapted for clamping said cartridge (11) in- between the first and the second clamping face and for forming a closed circuit composed of a first conduit (9), the passage (11) and a second conduit (10) during clamping. Each clamping face has a ring-shaped protrusion (12) extending around the end aperture of the respective conduit. The cartridge is completely made of PEEK and each ring-shaped protrusion (12) has a contact end face (16) for contacting a contact surface of the respective end face of the cartridge body, said contact end face having a shape for creating a positive mechanical engagement between the clamping face and the contact surface of the respective end face during clamping of the cartridge between the clamping jaws. A cartridge completely made of PEEK is used in such an assembly.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for determining the enantiomer ratio of trimethylcyclopentene derivatives of structure (I), wherein Z is an alkyl radical having 1 - 10 C atoms, can be saturated or olefinically unsaturated, straight-chained or branched and which is substituted by an OH or CHO group, by means of capillary gas chromatography, wherein a stationary phase is applied containing a compound selected from the group of Heptakis-(2,3-di-O-methyl-6-O-tert.-butyldimethylsily)-β-Cyclodextrin and Heptakis-(2,3-di-O-acetyl-6-O-tert.-butyldimethylsilyl)-β-Cyclodextrin and at least one polysiloxane, wherein the mixing ratio of Cyclodextrin derivatives and polysiloxanes is adjusted to a value ranging from 10: 90 to 50: 50.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel class of shaped bodies containing metal-organic frameworks. Said metal-organic frameworks comprise at least one metal ion and at least one at least bidentate organic compound and contain at least one type of micro- and mesopores or micro- or mesopores. Said shaped bodies comprise at least one metal-organic framework material and may optionally contain further substances, in particular at least one supporting material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel class of gelling agents, to a process of preparing said agents, to the use of said agents to prepare gels, and to the gels thus obtained. A gelling agent or thickener according to the invention comprises a core which is functionalized with three amino acid derived groups by means of an amide or urea linkage. It may be used to gelate or thicken numerous solvents.
