摘要: Disclosed is a method of making and using a titania supported palladium catalyst for the single step synthesis of 2-ethylhexanal from a feed of n-butyraldehyde. This titania supported palladium catalyst demonstrates high n-butyraldehyde conversion but also produces 2-ethylhexanal in an appreciable yield with maintained activity between runs. This method provides a single step synthesis of 2-ethylhexanal from n-butyraldehyde with a catalyst that can be regenerated that provides cleaner downstream separations relative to the traditional caustic route.

摘要: A porous composite metal oxide, comprising: a mixture of first ultrafine particles containing alumina and second ultrafine particles containing zirconia, wherein the first ultrafine particles and the second ultrafine particles are uniformly dispersed in such a way as to satisfy a condition that standard deviations of content ratios (% by mass) of all metal elements contained in the porous composite metal oxide at 0.1% by mass or more are each 10 or less, the standard deviations being obtained by measuring content ratios of the metal elements at 100 measurement points within a minute analysis region of 20 nm square by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy using a scanning transmission electron microscope equipped with a spherical aberration correction function.

摘要: Described is a catalyst composition suitable for use as a selective catalytic reduction catalyst, including small-pore molecular sieve particles having a pore structure and a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms and impregnated with a promoter metal, and metal oxide particles dispersed within the small-pore molecular sieve particles and external to the pore structure of the small-pore molecular sieve particles, wherein the metal oxide particles include one or more oxides of a transition metal or lanthanide of Group 3 or Group 4 of the Periodic Table. A method for preparing the catalyst, a method for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides, and an exhaust gas treatment system are also described.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a nanodispersion liquid of iron oxyhydroxide that is stable and does not contain components derived from auxiliary components. The nanodispersion liquid of iron oxyhydroxide according to the present invention is a nanodispersion liquid in which particles comprising iron oxyhydroxide as a main component and having an average particle diameter d50 of 0.2 µm or less and a d90 of 1 µm or less are dispersed in a solvent. The iron oxyhydroxide is preferably β-iron oxyhydroxide. The nanodispersion liquid of iron oxyhydroxide according to the present invention preferably contains no other components than a substance derived from at least either of an iron compound and a base, a pH adjusting agent, and a solvent.

摘要: A process for producing polymer-supported metal nanoparticles involves confinement of metal nanoparticles in polymeric nanotubes or nanosheets in an aqueous environment using hydrophobic reactants. Metal nanoparticles supported in the polymeric nanotubes or nanosheets are substantially monodisperse and have an average particle size of 4 nm or less. The polymer-supported metal nanoparticles are useful in fuel cells, sensors, bioanalysis, biological labeling or semi-conductors, especially as catalysts.
