The system includes a feed input (130) that processes the powder coating materials for use in a filament extension atomizer (140). The filament extension atomizer (140) stretches fluid filaments of the powder coating material to form droplets (144) of powder coating material. The droplets (144) of powder coating material are partially cooled to prevent agglomeration and to form a powder coating material suitable for electrostatic deposition. The cooled powder coating material is electrostatically charged and directed onto the substrate surface, where it is deposited due to the electrostatic potential between the substrate and cooled droplets. The deposited powder coating material is then cured to the substrate to form a cohesive film of coating material across the substrate.

    摘要: The invention relates to a wire gun with a feed device for the wire with a feed roller for the wire driven by a motor and a counter-roller pressing the wire against the feed roller and a device for controlling the wire feed rate. Prior art wire guns of this kind have the drawback that the wire feed rate is not controlled accurately enough and, in flame treatment, does not result in the sufficiently uniform feed of the wire material to be sprayed. The purpose of the invention is to provide a wire gun with precise feed rate control. This purpose is attained in that there is a measuring wheel scanning the wire to measure the effective feed rate and the device for controlling the wire feed rate includes a device for altering the pressure exerted by the counter-roller dependently upon a deviation from the set value which cannot be controlled by the effect of the control device on the motor drive.

    摘要: The invention relates to a wire gun with a feed device for the wire with a feed roller (2) for the wire driven by a d.c. motor (1) and a counter-roller (3) pressing the wire against the feed roller (2). The purpose of the invention is to provide such a wire gun in which, unlike the prior art, it is unnecessary to change or replace gears over the whole wire feed rate adjustment range. This purpose is attained by the invention in that successive drive voltage pulses of variable pulse width and/or frequency may be applied to the d.c. motor (1) to control the feed rate. This measure provides a sufficiently high torque to convey the wire even at very low feed rates, i.e. at low motor rotation speeds.
