The present invention discloses a bamboo outer skin-retaining bamboo veneer and a preparation process thereof, belonging to the technical field of bamboo processing. The preparation process includes the following steps: segmenting bamboo and cutting into bamboo strips with an arc-shaped section; softening the bamboo strips by pressurizing and heating, and unfolding the softened bamboo strips at equal arc and fixed thickness; performing double-sided protection and gradual flattening under a condition of heat preservation until the bamboo strip is completely flattened, to obtain a bamboo board; and continuously cooling the bamboo board, shaping the bamboo board under a heavy weight and then drying, and then trimming under a fixed width to obtain the bamboo outer skin-retaining bamboo board finished product. According to the unfolding process of the bamboo outer skin-retaining bamboo strip provided by the present invention, the bamboo outer skin-retaining bamboo strip can be unfolded under the promise of not destroying the bamboo outer skin surface, and there will be no cracking and rebound problems in the unfolding process, so the obtained bamboo outer skin-retaining bamboo veneer is smooth and flat, and has natural and beautiful textures and good mechanical properties, which fills the gap of the lack of natural green bamboo texture materials in the bamboo market.

The invention relates to a method for producing a fibrous strip (420) capable of constituting a band having a thickness of between 0.1 mm and 1 mm and a width of between 2 mm and 10 mm, said method including the steps of: a) cutting the wood bark or canes (200) into square-edged portions (300) having a defined length; b) separating the strip (420) from a surface of the square-edged portion (300) by means of an orthogonal cut, the depth of which is equal to the thickness of the strip, the cut rate (450) being parallel to the grain of the square-edged portion (300). The invention also relates to a fibrous reinforcement produced by such a method, and to a device for implementing said method.

In a method of carrying out a fire-proofing treatment of rushes for thatching, the rushes for thatching are applied with a fire-retarding fluid, said fluid being applied by way of spraying or immersing onto the lowermost portion of the thatching material, typically 70 to 80 cm measured from the root. The treatment is carried out already during the cleaning and the processing of the thatching material and consequently before said thatching material is placed on the roof. The fireproof thatching material includes approximately 15% of water and can be placed on the roof immediately after the drying and the bundling. The method according to the invention is new and surprising by providing a thatching material which is fire-retarding on the portion of the stems facing the surroundings, and which is durable throughout the life of the entire roof. In addition, the costs of carrying out the fire-proofing by the method according to the invention are considerably lower than the costs involved in the hitherto known fire-proofing measures.

Composite panels and pulp, and paper products of the pulp, are produced from Arundo donax. In the fabrication of the composite panels, Arundo donax is comminuted (20) to a suitable size, combined with a binder (40, 50), and consolidated (80) into panels that meet standards for construction and/or furniture grade panels. The Arundo donax particulates may be combined with wood particulates to produce a mixed furnish that can be used in the preparation of composite panels. Comminuted Arundo donax is treated, in conventional pulping processes, to produce a high tensile strength pulp that can be used in the production of paper. The pulp has a lighter color than wood pulp, and thereby uses less bleaching chemicals to achieve a desired whiteness. The pulp can be combined with wood pulp to produce a variety of products.

A bamboo board 10 of the present invention is produced by preparing a plurality of square tubular bodies 12 fabricated by cutting a surface layer 11a of tubes that form bamboo rods 11 so that the cross sectional surfaces that are orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the bamboo rods 11 have two groups of two parallel facing surfaces, aligning the plurality of square tubular bodies 12 parallel to one another, and gluing facing cut surfaces 12a of the plurality of square tubular bodies 12 in place by means of a first adhesive agent 21. The bamboo board is produced as a tube without splitting bamboo rods or cutting and shaping an arc-shaped bamboo material into a planar shape in a conventional method is a light-weight board having a sufficient strength, due to less deformation such as warping when using bamboo shaped into a planar configuration and use of a natural hollow structure of bamboo.
